How Lemonade's FSD discount works
Lemonade's Autonomous Car pricing cuts the per-mile rate by about 50% for miles driven with FSD engaged. It reads FSD use from your Tesla through a connected account, so the more you drive on FSD, the bigger the discount.
- Hardware: your Tesla needs Hardware 4 (AI4) or newer.
- States: as of October 2026 the discount is live in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Missouri, Oregon and Tennessee.
- Software: Lemonade requires a recent FSD firmware version.
When Lemonade isn't the better deal
If you're on HW3, live outside the discount states, or rarely use FSD, the discount doesn't apply and Lemonade has to beat other insurers on its base rate alone. Get a quote, but compare it with Tesla Insurance and one large insurer.

Does Lemonade really give 50% off for FSD?
Lemonade cuts the rate for miles driven with FSD engaged by about half. Miles you drive yourself are charged at the normal rate, so your total saving depends on how much of your driving is on FSD.
Which states have Lemonade's FSD discount?
As of October 2026: Arizona (since January 2026), Oregon, Indiana, Colorado, Tennessee and Missouri. Lemonade has been adding a state every month or two, so check its site for your state.
Can HW3 Teslas get the Lemonade FSD discount?
No. Lemonade requires Hardware 4 (AI4) or newer for its Autonomous Car pricing.
